CONVERGE AND RISE
INTERACTIVE INSTALLTION
Marshall Way Bridge
Scottsdale, Arizona
unbuilT
2019
Fifty cables stretch from the bridge’s guardrail to its overhead structure, each ending in a hand-painted copper cylinder that can be lowered to the water. Built-in lights mark their positions at night and cast reflections on the bridge and canal. Visitors can adjust the cable lengths, changing the shape of the installation. Sunlight, wind, and water bring it to life, making it a dynamic system influenced by both people and the environment.
