scenography actively engages in social exchange through both physical activity and digital media, supporting CMLA and MashUp’s broader goal of fostering community and uniting people through public art intervention. The performance revolves around a linear array of vertical screen panels that initially divide the venue into two halves before rotating to create a porous boundary and ultimately bridging spatial divisions. This dynamic transformation is amplified by the integration of immaterial media, including reflections and live-feed projections, which reconstruct the performance environment. These evolving scenographic elements alter perspectives and interactions for both audience members and performers. CMLA and MashUp conceptually address challenges related to political, racial, and gender divisions through an intense spatial performance. By combining physical architecture, digital projection, and social media, the event creates novel social exchanges and immersive experiences that transcend purely physical or digital spaces.
